Rep. Laurel Lee Questions Secretary Mayorkas’ Handling of the Crisis at Our Southern Border
Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Laurel Lee (R-FL), questioned Homeland Security Secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, regarding our nation’s border crisis. Particularly, Rep. Lee demanded answers on what the administration is doing regarding the exploitation and trafficking of children at our southern border.
“In my home state of Florida, human trafficking is a problem we are working extremely hard to combat, yet the federal government appears to be part of the problem,” said Rep. Lee. “Human trafficking has become one of the biggest issues when it comes to border security, exploiting men, women, and children. Today, I questioned Secretary Mayorkas’ handling of the crisis at our southern border and how he plans on addressing this humanitarian crisis.”
